Training Courses
To get the best out LAMS International offers a number of different courses to assist our customers in the deployment and use of LAMS. What makes our courses different is that in addition to acquiring the technical competency required to use LAMS, we will help you with the education and pedagogy fundamentals that enable you to get the best teaching and learning outcomes through the use of LAMS.
Introductory Course
This course introduces the attendee to the basic concepts that are required to understand how to create and deliver learning sequences.
Advanced Course
The advanced course reviews the skills learnt during the Introductory Course and builds upon them to give the attendees a greater understanding of how to use LAMS to improve learning outcomes. This is achieved by investigating the advanced use of the toolset and reviewing the learning sequences that the students have created in addition to evaluating relevant examples created by our education developers.
How and Where to Attend
LAMS International structure these courses in a number of different ways help address the requirements of our customers. There are three ways that we deliver the training in LAMS:
- Attend a scheduled class that are held on a regular basis
- Contract LAMS International to conduct on-site training at your institution or training centre for up to 15 students
- Contract LAMS International to run one-on-one sessions
Further Training Available for Developers and System Administrators
Other courses are available on demand and include:
- LAMS Software Development - Tool Creation
- LAMS Installation - Setting Up the Server
- LAMS Integration - How to implement one of the LAMS Integrations
By their very nature these courses tend to be customer specific and therefore there is no set course structure.
